- No Flooding Flooding is filling a channel or private message with lines at an excessive rate. It doesn't have to be "FLOOD" repeated many times. Speaking normally, if in short, quick sentences can also be flooding. For the most part, this is up to the channel owner to decide. We will only take action if the channel staff can't deal with it, or it affects, or threatens to affect multiple channels, or overall network performance. - No Spamming Spamming is unsolicited, annoying communication or advertisment with no relevance to the conversation. If you go around to a bunch of channels advertising your site, channel, server, et alia, don't expect us to be happy about it. If your mention of another site, server, channel, et alia, is solicited or on topic and relevant to the conversation at hand it is not spamming. - No Harassment If you continually bother someone after they have asked you to stop, or intentionally evade /ignores or other protections against such behavior, you are guilty of this rule. We don't like it, and won't be friendly. - Don't Abuse Our Services This is not limited to NickServ, ChanServ, etc. Abusing any service provided to you by PouncesMe will not be looked upon kindly. We provide PouncesMe as a free service to you, our users. You aren't paying us for it and you aren't entitled to anything. We love to have you here, but not if you are disruptive. - No Impersonation Your channel is not official unless the network admins said it was. You are not PouncesMe staff. Don't pretend to be. If we catch you, we won't be happy. Also, it's just rude to impersonate others, staff or not. Identity theft is not cool. - No Ban Evasion Evading any sort of network ban or sanction is immediate grounds for punishment equal or more severe than that evaded. The intentional channel evasion bans, if complaints are made, may result in network level disciplinary action at the discretion of the staff. Evasion is defined as the intentional circumvention of any legitimate security measure designed to deny you access to a network, server, channel or person. - No Offensive Channel Topics If your channel's topic is visible in /list, as is the case with all channels not mode +s or +p, you must keep your channel topics PG-13. - No Offensive Nicks, Idents, or vHosts Since these are all shown to everyone in every channel you join, or anyone you PM, try to keep them PG-13. - No Illegal Activities We provide this network as a service to the public. We don't want to have to deal with legal issues arising from its misuse. As such, any illegal activity discovered here will be shut down and possibly reported, and those involved will be removed. If you are offended by language in a channel you operate, set /mode +G. If you are offended by language in private messages, set /mode +G. This will automatically censor many offensive words. Feel free to suggest other words to the network staff for filtering.
